This privacy notice for drivers provides information about how Heom Driver OÜ (hereinafter “Heom”, “we”, “us”)
processes personal data of persons providing transportation services via the Heom Driver platform, i.e.,
drivers. The privacy notice describes what data we process, why we process it, how we keep personal data safe,
and what choices and controls are available to the data subjects (hereinafter also referred to as “you”).
If you are a driver on the Heom Driver platform, please read this privacy notice carefully, as it contains
important information regarding the processing of your personal data and our requirements when you process
passengers’ personal data.
Depending on your jurisdiction and location, additional clauses or a different privacy notice may apply.
Please note that our websites and apps may contain links to third-party websites. If you follow a link to any
of those third-party websites, they have their own privacy policies, and we do not accept any responsibility
or liability for their data processing practices. Please review these policies before submitting any personal

1. Personal Data We Process
- General Data: Name, email, phone number, and place of residence (provided by the driver).
- Geolocation Data: Real-time location and driving routes (collected through the Heom
Driver app when active).
- Vehicle Information: Vehicle registration number, model, and compliance status.
- Usage Data: Engagement and interactions on the platform, driver ratings, and ride
history.
- Identification Data: Driver’s license, profile photo, and identity verification
documents.
- Offences Data: Criminal convictions and offences where permitted under local laws.
- Communication Data: Messages and calls made through the in-app chat or customer support.
- Tax Information: Taxpayer ID, VAT ID, place of birth, and other financial details as
required by law.
- User-Generated Content: Audio recordings (if safety features are enabled), uploaded
documents, or any files submitted to customer support.

- ✅ Passenger Identification: Displaying the driver’s name, photo, and vehicle details.
- ✅ Driver Ratings & Performance Reports: Providing summaries and performance scores.
- ✅ Dispute Resolution: Handling complaints and improving service quality.
- ✅ Safety & Security: Preventing fraud, maintaining driver compliance, and ensuring a
secure environment.
- ✅ Legal Claims: Protecting our platform from fraud or legal disputes.
If you do not want to disclose your location to passengers, you can go offline in the Heom Driver app.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
- Performance of Contract: Required for providing transportation services.
- Legitimate Interest: To prevent fraud, ensure security, and provide a quality service.
- Compliance with Legal Obligations: Such as tax reporting and law enforcement cooperation.
- Consent: In cases where explicit permission is required, such as marketing communication.
4. Data Sharing & Recipients
- Passengers: Name, photo, vehicle details, and ride history (visible upon ride request
acceptance).
- Affiliates & Partners: Local representatives, fleet owners, or other contracted entities.
- Law Enforcement: When required by law, such as in investigations or court orders.
5. Data Security & Retention
- Data Storage: Heom Driver data is stored in secure data centers within the EU or other
compliant jurisdictions.
- Data Access: Only authorized personnel can access driver data.
- Retention Period:
- Personal data is stored as long as the driver account remains active.
- Tax-related data is stored for 7 years as per legal requirements.
- Chat messages in the app are retained for 90 days, except in case of incident reports, where they are
stored for 6 months.
- Audio recordings (if enabled) are stored locally for 24 hours and deleted unless shared with Heom
customer support for safety purposes.
6. Passenger Data Processing
Drivers may not collect, store, or use passenger data outside of fulfilling rides through the Heom Driver app.
Violation of this rule may result in account suspension or legal action.

7. Your Rights & Control Over Your Data

If your account is suspended due to low driver ratings, you can appeal the decision.
